Understanding navigation

We shall go thru some common examples and how RealtyVis fits into your website architecture.

Example 1

In the initial account setup, we start off with the default Search listing page that looks like this:

In this simple scenario, our setting is:

  • Default slug for the MLS listing search page: /mls-search

You can configure separate pages for Search listings and Single listing for better styling control, which we'll explain more in the next section.

Example 2

Let's say we want to add a Search box and showcase a few Featured listings on the home page. the navigation will start to look like this:

In this second scenario, we are defining separate pages for Search listing and Single listing, so our settings will be:

  • Default slug for the MLS listing search page: /search
  • Default slug for displaying a single MLS listing: /listing

Example 3

A common scenario to optimize SEO for real estate websites is to create localalized pages such as this:

In this scenario, the page slugs we need to define are for Search listings (default) and Single listing, so the settings for this will be:

  • Default slug for the MLS listing search page: /search
  • Default slug for displaying a single MLS listing: /listing
